From your ideas to installation
Tell us what you have today and what you would like to change. We can help you work through the choices.
Choose a direction
Start with the styles, colors and window arrangements that fit your home or business.
Review the opening
Door size, headroom, tracks and opener requirements help shape the installation.
Discuss your project
Talk with NTX about available door options and the next steps for your installation.
Compare appearance and everyday use
Start with the style of the building, then compare panel profiles, windows, finishes and materials. Traditional, carriage-house and contemporary doors can give the same opening a very different appearance.
Insulation is another choice to discuss, especially for an attached garage or a space used as a workshop. Compare the actual model’s construction and insulation information; a door’s rating alone does not describe the performance of the whole garage.
Measure the opening and installation space
Width and height are only part of the fit. Headroom above the opening, room at the sides and the space behind the door affect tracks, hardware and opener options. Existing equipment should be considered before choosing a model.
Send a description of the opening and existing door to begin the conversation. Installation measurements need to be checked before an order is finalized. For changes to the exterior, check applicable HOA or property requirements.
What to clarify before installation
Ask whether the quote includes removal of the existing door, new tracks and lifting hardware, opener work and disposal. Confirm the selected material, finish, windows and insulation so different proposals can be compared fairly.
Discuss access to the garage, the expected sequence of work and any scheduling constraints. Ask which product and installation warranties apply to the selected door rather than assuming all doors have the same coverage.

New garage door questions
Can I choose a different style from my current door?
Yes. Share the look you have in mind so we can discuss door designs and the requirements of your existing opening.
Should I replace the opener at the same time?
It depends on the existing opener and the new door. We can discuss compatibility and whether opener service or replacement should be part of the project.
How do I request service?
Use our Request Service page to tell us about your door, opener or gate, or call NTX at 972-798-2346.
